ÖBÍ, also known as The Icelandic Disability Alliance, is a non-profit umbrella organization established in 1961, representing 43 national associations of people with disabilities in Iceland. Its primary role is to advocate for the rights and interests of disabled people, working towards social justice, improved quality of life, and inclusion in Icelandic society. ÖBÍ provides free consultation and legal assistance to disabled individuals and their families, reviews proposed legislation, and participates in international disability rights efforts.
