Jens Garðar Helgason is an Icelandic politician and a member of the Icelandic Parliament (Alþingi) for the Independence Party, representing the Northeast constituency since the 2024 parliamentary elections. He has served as the Vice-Chairman of the Independence Party since 2025. Helgason has a background in business and local government, having previously been the chairman of the Fjarðabyggð municipal council and held leadership roles in the Association of Icelandic Fisheries Companies and the Confederation of Icelandic Employers.
