Samband íslenskra sveitarfélaga, also known as the Association of Local Authorities in Iceland, is an interest group for Icelandic municipalities, established in 1945. Its primary role is to advocate for the interests of local authorities to the Icelandic government and other national and international bodies, as well as to negotiate collective bargaining agreements on behalf of most municipalities. The organization also provides advice and education on collective agreements and labor market issues, and works to strengthen Icelandic municipalities.
