Landsréttur is the Court of Appeal of Iceland, established on January 1, 2018, as an intermediate court level between the District Courts and the Supreme Court. Its creation introduced a three-tier court system in Iceland, aiming to streamline the appeals process and reduce the workload on the Supreme Court. The court is composed of fifteen permanent judges and primarily reviews decisions from the District Courts.
