Angel City FC is an American professional women's soccer team based in Los Angeles, California, that competes in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). The team was founded on July 21, 2020, and began playing in the 2022 season. Icelandic forward Sveindís Jane Jónsdóttir joined Angel City FC in May 2025 and has since made a significant impact, including a record-breaking performance in a 3-1 victory against Bay FC in March 2026, where she contributed to all three goals.
