Breska ríkisútvarpið, also known as the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), is a British public service broadcaster headquartered in London. It is the world's largest broadcasting corporation, founded in 1922, and operates independently despite being primarily funded by government-set television license fees. While primarily serving the UK, its international news services, such as BBC World Service and BBC World News, are accessible in Iceland and contribute to the Icelandic media landscape.
