Ásgeir Erlendsson is the information officer for the Icelandic Coast Guard (Landhelgisgæslan), a position he has held since March 2018. Prior to this role, he worked as a journalist and program maker for various Icelandic media outlets, including Stöð 2 and Ríkisútvarpið, for 14 years. He recently earned a master's degree in law while continuing his work with the Coast Guard.
