Nuuk is the capital and most populous city of Greenland, an autonomous territory of Denmark. It is located on the southwest coast of Greenland, at the mouth of the Nuup Kangerlua fjord. Nuuk serves as Greenland's administrative, economic, and cultural center, hosting the government, major industries, and educational institutions like the University of Greenland. While not in Iceland, Nuuk has connections to Iceland through direct flights to Reykjavík and cargo ship routes.
