Eyjafjarðarsveit is a municipality located in northern Iceland, specifically in the Eyjafjörður region. It was formed on January 1, 1991, through the merger of three rural municipalities: Hrafnagilshreppur, Öngulsstaðahreppur, and Saurbæjarhreppur. The municipality is known for its agricultural productivity and is situated in a broad valley at the end of Iceland's longest fjord, Eyjafjörður, just south of Akureyri. Its major villages include Hrafnagil and Öngulsstaðir, and it extends inland towards Sprengisandur.
