KÍ, or Kennarasamband Íslands, is the Icelandic Teachers' Union, a joint organization founded in 2000 for over 10,000 teachers, headteachers, deputy headteachers, and student counselors across all levels of education in Iceland. It plays a significant role in advocating for its members' rights and interests, including negotiating wage contracts and working conditions, and promoting educational development. KÍ is among the largest professional organizations in Iceland and cooperates with other Icelandic unions and international teacher associations.
