Húsavík is a town in northern Iceland, located on Skjálfandi Bay, known as the "whale-watching capital" of Iceland. It is considered the oldest settlement in Iceland, with Viking Garðar Svavarsson believed to have wintered there around 870 AD. The town is a popular tourist destination, offering whale watching tours, museums, and geothermal baths. Húsavík gained international recognition as the setting for the 2020 Netflix film "Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga."
