Keflavík is a town in southwest Iceland, part of the Reykjanesbær municipality, known for being the location of Keflavík International Airport, the country's main international gateway. The town has a rich history rooted in fishing and played a significant role during World War II and the Cold War due to the presence of a U.S. naval air station.
