Samtök fyrirtækja í sjávarútvegi (SFS), or the Federation of Icelandic Fishing Vessel Owners, is an interest group for Icelandic fishing companies and aquaculture businesses. Established on October 31, 2014, through the merger of the Federation of Fish Processing Plants and the National Association of Icelandic Fishing Vessel Owners, its primary role is to protect the interests of its members and promote the Icelandic fishing industry. SFS works to foster understanding of the industry's economic importance, engage in international cooperation, and represent its members' interests to the government, including collective bargaining for labor agreements.
