Björgvin Halldórsson was an Icelandic pop singer born in Hafnarfjörður in 1951, widely recognized as one of the country's most influential performers. He represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1995 with the song "Núna" and was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Icelandic Order of the Falcon in 2011 for his contributions to music. Halldórsson passed away on April 9, 2026, at the age of 74.
