Coventry City Football Club is an English professional football club based in Coventry, West Midlands, England. Founded in 1883 as Singers F.C., the club adopted its current name in 1898. They are known as "The Sky Blues" due to their kit colors and have a history of competing in the English football league system, including being inaugural members of the Premier League in 1992. The club has had some interaction with Icelandic football, including a loan deal for a Coventry City midfielder to an Icelandic club in 2020.
