Flórens is the Icelandic name for Florence, a prominent city in Tuscany, Italy. While not a location within Iceland itself, it is referenced in Icelandic media, such as in the context of a Caravaggio painting previously privately owned in Florence and now exhibited in Rome's Palazzo Barberini. The city is also mentioned in relation to cultural events, such as the Icelandic-Danish artist Olafur Eliasson having an exhibition in Florence. Additionally, the band Florence + The Machine has been noted for early appearances at Iceland Airwaves, a music festival in Reykjavík.
